Our owner, Mac Bellingrath started the business in 1999 while still attending Hall High School in nearby West Hartford. As our business and equipment grew we moved to 45 Spring Street in Newington. We currently service Farmington, Newington, West Hartford and several other towns in Connecticut for our landscaping and landscape design services.
Mac has been taking care of my property for close to a decade, from snow removal, to laying sod, to clearing out woods to create more yard he has always delivered. About Farmington, CT
Farmington, Connecticut is located in Hartford county. The town was first settled in 1640 and was later incorporated in 1645. The town was originally part of the Tunxis Indian Reservation, and the original settlers were mostly Puritans from nearby Massachusetts. The town is named after the English village of Farmington in Nottinghamshire. Today the town has a t has a population of almost 25,000 residents and is known for its historic houses and beautiful New England scenery.
Farmington was a primarily farming community until the 1800’s when the tow began experiencing an industrialization boom. This created a demand for workers and caused the population to grow significantly. By the late 1800’s Farmington had become well-known as an affluent community with many wealthy families building large estates.
Farmington borders the towns of Avon, Plainville, New Britain, Bristol, and Burlington. The town is 28.2 square miles and the terrain is mostly rural with pockets of suburban and commercial areas. Farmington has two rivers, the Farmington River and the Pequabuck River, which flow through the center of town.
The public school system in Farmington is considered excellent and consists of 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 1 high school. There are also several notable private schools including Miss Porter’s School, the Ethel Walker School, and Kingswood-Oxford School. Farmington is also home to the University of Connecticut Health Center.
